TechHeads are excited to announce Pearson Classroom of the Future, hosted by Pearson, moderated by Ed Baker from TechHeads Community Meetup Group and located at TechHub - but led by you!
The event brings together entrepreneurs in education and learning tech with educators, to explore what the classroom of the future will look like - on and offline - and collectively unpick some key challenges and opportunities in this growth space.
The event will focus upon three exciting strands:
Teacher of the Future
Exploring the types of content teachers will be engaging with in the very near future in schools, and reflecting on the software and hardware that will flow from home, into school.
Neil Gallagher, Pora Ora CEO and Games-based Learning Entrepreneur
Jodie Collins, Pearson Teacher of the Year and Games-based Learning Expert
Textbook of the Future
From Blurb to Apple’s iBooks Textbooks, what does the future hold for the physical textbook book and the companies reinventing how students engage with print?
Bev Humphrey, @LibWithAttitude, Literacy and Technology Consultant
Adrian Smith, Pearson School Improvement Programme
Exam of the Future
How will learning be measured and assessed in the future, and how will online metrics be recorded and reported?
Martin Nirsimloo, Deputy Principal, St Matthews Academy
Mariko Tokioka, Quipper
The event innovates around the typical panel debate - with an expanded break-out format!
Start: Each panelist will give a brief overview of the market, and identify a few of the key challenges, as they see it.
Middle: The event then breaks into three groups, each focusing on one of the main strands. (On entrance, attendees will be asked to choose a strand they wish to join).
End: Reconvening, the panel and audience will be asked to explore the thoughts and issues raised in the group discussions.
Networking: The event wraps up in a networking session.
Sharpen your pencils, class!

TechHub is affordable and accessible, with a great environment to bring together the right people in one place - the people who really do want to change the world through their businesses. We're right on 'Silicon Roundabout' in the Old Street area of London where there is an existing cluster of tech start-ups.
